Lower School Cast schedule, Cd's, and rehearsal reminder!

Greetings LS CAST families!

A reminder that tomorrow's, Wednesday !2/20/2017,  Seussical Lower School rehearsal is for 4th and 5th grades only in the theatre from 3:20 to 4:30.

Other important pieces of information are listed below! 

• All of the Show music with words for rehearsing is on the blog located under the Cast and Actor resources tab to the right of this post when viewing in desktop/web version and is also located here Seussical Jr. Rehearsal Tracks (with words)

• Cast Cds were released at last week's rehearsal. As technology is ever changing, some of the cds may not play in older boomboxes or older cd players as audio formats change and are upgraded in electronics and car players. If your cd is not playing in your device, please email Ms. Kendrick at kphillips@davisacademy.org and she will burn you a compatible cd that will work in your device/player. If your child was absent from rehearsal last week, her/his materials are being delivered to her/his homeroom teacher before break.

LOWER CAST NEWS:
ALL REHEARSALS TAKE PLACE IN THE THEATRE @ THE LS

• TODAY LS REHEARSAL:  Wednesday, December 13th ALL LS CAST will meet again in the theatre from 3:20 to 4:30 pm. 
• Students are dismissed through the normal carpool line at 4:30 and we run dismissal as regular carpool procedures- a mini-carpool line. 
• There is a LS practice on Wednesday, December 20th  from 3:20 to 4:30 pm for 4th and 5th grade cast only.

• Cast Cds will be released today to LS  for those who would like a cd for their car/home cd players.

• There are NO rehearsals on Thursday 12/21 due to Winter Midterms.

• Next Tuesday's rehearsal 12/12 is from 4 to 6 pm  for All cast again. We are working on harmonies. 
• Next Thursday's rehearsal 12/14 is from 4 to 5:30 pm for Horton, Jojo, Mr. Mayor, Mrs. Mayor, Gertrude.

• 5th grade can join the MS for rehearsal today.

LOWER SCHOOL REMINDER:

• The first rehearsal to tomorrow Wednesday, December 6th. This will be in the LS Theatre right after school and students will be dismissed through the normal carpool line at 4:30.

The full schedules are almost completed and will be released by early morning tomorrow.

Seussical Jr. MS Updates: Cast List and Information

Thank you all for auditioning!! In our over a decade plus of producing the shows, this is without a doubt the best sounding cast we have EVER had! Amazing!


Thank you for your patience in releasing the cast list for Seussical Jr. We share your excitement!


Thank you also to our audition panel members who worked tirelessly throughout auditions, over the holiday, and this week to expedite a cast list. Our audition adjudication panel reviewed the copious amount of notes from the amazing three days of auditions and callbacks, as well as each actor’s individual audition forms in which any scheduling conflicts and special skills were noted and grade checks.


CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL!!!


Seussical, Jr. is a vibrant ensemble show comprised of 4 distinct groups- Whos, Birds, Thinks, Jungle of Nools.  Every cast member is CONSTANTLY moving in and out of numbers.  This is the HARDEST music, HIGHEST Energy, and MOST FUN of any show we have ever produced. We need every voice, every actor, every dancer, and every performer! The ensembles are the heart, soul, and star of the show.


You will definitely enjoy the incredible music, choreography, comedy, a great story—it has heart and soul, an incredible story, hilarious events,  great characters, the incredible ensemble, magic tricks and illusions, and amazing dancing, with a wonderful message and just plain old-fashioned fun that this show offers.THERE ARE MORE PARTS TO COME WHICH WILL BE CAST DURING REHEARSALS!


PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING NOTES THOROUGHLY! THE CAST LIST LINK IS LOCATED AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS POST.

• BE AWARE THAT ALL ACTORS HAVE MORE THAN ONE RESPONSIBILITY IN THE SHOWS!!!! The casts will be placed into Seussical JR Cast over the next 6 weeks of rehearsal.
• UNDERSTUDIES ARE EXTREMELY IMPORTANT.
• Several understudy roles will be cast during the first weeks of rehearsals.
• Understudies must memorize lines and be at all rehearsals for the part they are “understudy”-ing! You may be called upon to go on for actors during dress rehearsals and for the performances...it has happened every year!!
• Understudies will also be performing their roles at various community events in March. 
• We are going to be moving fast—so please treat rehearsal time seriously, and learn your music and lines as soon as possible.
• You ALL are going to be busy—the show moves fast—and will be so much fun!
• SOME roles, extra lines, featured solos, ensembles, and featured circus acts, dances, tumbling, and extra roles will be assigned during REHEARSALS—it really pays to be at rehearsals working hard and showing off your hard work and commitment! 
• Please trust that you will learn more about your part at rehearsals and DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE IT!—We have cast it to allow everyone to have substantial stage time in which to shine. There is more that what meets the eye on the page of the script books!
• The FIRST MS rehearsal is this TUESDAY from 4 to 6 for ALL MS CAST & CREW in the LS Theatre. If you have a basketball game or Bar/Bat Mitzvah tutoring this day, you are excused from the first read through.
• The full rehearsal schedule will be released this week at rehearsal in hard copy form and on the blog under the forms and schedule tab.
